Love, Peace & Spades™ is a Black-led cultural learning and wellness organization that utilizes gameplay to strengthen connections, build skills, and preserve Black cultural knowledge. Founded in 2022, LP&S designs structured, intergenerational spaces where play functions as both cultural heritage and a tool for learning and well-being.

In response to growing social isolation, Love, Peace & Spades™ developed Spades Academy™, a curriculum-driven instructional play model that reframes traditional card games as platforms for strategic thinking, communication, emotional regulation, and cultural literacy. Through facilitated gameplay and guided instruction, participants build confidence, improve collaboration, and deepen cross-generational connections.

Beyond instructional programming, Love, Peace & Spades™ produces pop-up and private events, skills-based workshops, and tailored experiences. LP&S produces a year-round ecosystem of flagship experiences, including a year-long round of Spades tournaments, and Love, Peace & Spades Day, our bi-annual Culture & Games Festival, that activate play as both community infrastructure and community infrastructure.
Together, these programs position Love, Peace & Spades™ as a leading voice in the field of play-based cultural education and wellness.
