It goes without saying—Black women move the world.
Our annual Black Women’s Appreciation Game Night will focus on ensuring that they feel that love in return. In a room buzzing with laughter, the deep bass of a good hand being played and the warmth of familiar faces, The LINE Hotel will be full with the undeniable presence of Black women who pour into their families, their communities, and the people they love.
Two remarkable women will be honored for their positive impact on our lives, but this night is for every sister, mother, friend, and pillar who has ever held it down.
Games will be played, fun will be had, flowers will be given, and love will be felt.

To acknowledge and honor Black History Month, Love, Peace & Spades™ will host our monthly game night at The LINE Hotel.
This ALL AGES, #ALLPLAYERSWELCOME, OPEN PLAY gathering will feature curated sounds and special surprises from our community and corporate partners.
King Day Game Night
Love, Peace & Spades is a monthly game night for anyone looking for a fun space to kick it and bond over classic Black family games such as Uno, Dominoes, and, of course, Spades—and if you need lessons, don’t worry, we got you!
To kick off 2025, we’re celebrating Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.’s life and legacy at The LINE Hotel (3515 Wilshire Blvd.) while playing our favorite heirlooms.
Come early, as we will have an open play at all the tables from 6:00 PM - 7:00 PM and a raffle giveaway for a surprise to be revealed during intermission. Experience our new coaches for Spades, Tunk, and Bid Whist at Spades Academy. And shake hands and make friends during The People’s Game Night!
Come hungry—the menu is delicioso! Come early—it’s Happy Hour! And bring friends or make some—it’s game night!

What In The Wellness
In honor of World Mental Health Day, ‘Love, Peace & Spades’ connects with life coach Aaron Bernard for a Spades Academy session at The Gathering Spot.
As part of Bernard’s ‘What In The Wellness’ series, attendees will enjoy two hours of games and skills-based sessions with two ‘Love, Peace & Spades’ coaches and learn skills and tactics for promoting wellness in the Black community.

‘Love, Peace & Spades Day’ is a culture and games event showcasing Black-owned game makers/developers and vendors at the intersection of music, tech, education, and play.
Taking place at the Redline Venice Hotel, the only Black-owned establishment on the famed strip, we welcome attendees to join us for a fun day full of laughs, lite bites, wine/spirit tastings, and new experiences.
